  • 2 medium Potatoes, steamed and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Green Peas, steamed and mashed
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp Cumin-Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chat Masala Powder
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander, chopped

For the Batter:

  • 4-5 tbsp Maida (All-Purpose Flour)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Water, as needed to make a smooth paste
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 1 tbsp White Till Seeds (Sesame Seeds)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander, chopped

For the Fritters:

  • 6-8 Bread slices
  • Butter, as needed
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions for Bread Fritters Recipe:

Step 1: Prepare the Masala Filling

  1. Heat Oil: In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once hot, add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Sauté Onions: Add 1 medium finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste: Add 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic-green chili paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add Vegetables: Add grated carrot, steamed and mashed potatoes, and green peas together in the pan.
  5. Season and Spice: Add salt to taste, 1 teaspoon cumin-coriander powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder, and 1/2 teaspoon chat masala powder. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Add Fresh Coriander: Finally, add 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped coriander and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Batter

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, add 4-5 tablespoons of maida (all-purpose flour), salt to taste, 1 teaspoon red chili flakes, and 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds.
  2. Make a Paste: Gradually add water to the dry ingredients to create a smooth, lump-free paste. Ensure the batter is not too thick or too thin.
  3. Add Fresh Coriander: Mix in 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped coriander.

Step 3: Assemble the Bread Fritters

  1. Prepare the Bread Slices: Spread butter on 6-8 slices of bread.
  2. Add Masala Filling: Spoon the prepared masala filling onto one slice of bread. If desired, place a cheese slice over the masala. Top with another slice of bread to create a sandwich.
