Rooh Afza milkshake or rose milk is a perfect summer beverage to make with milk at home. Creamy and frothy milkshake, you can make it in less than 5 minutes.

It is an easy and quick homemade mug recipe that everyone can enjoy.

This shake is divine, and it gives a cooling effect to your soul and body. Rooh Afza shake is a refreshing drink familiar in every Indian kitchen.

How to make a milkshake with ice cream?

You can add your favorite flavor of ice cream to the milkshake recipe if you have ice cream handy in your kitchen. Blend everything well. 

It is optional to add ice cream to the mug beverage. Also, if you want, you can add ice cream while serving the rose milk. 

To make a thick ice cream milkshake recipe at home:

Add more ice cream, around 2 cups of ice cream, and less milk to make it thick, which you cannot drink with a straw. You need to eat it with a spoon. 

If you prefer a little thinner, then add more milk or less ice cream to your easy mug recipe. 

My Rooh Afza milk recipe is not thicker nor thinner. I have added 1 cup of ice cream and the proper amount of milk, which is drinkable.

Ice Cream Shake

Make the Rooh Afza shake thick without ice cream:

There are plenty of versions of thick milkshakes without ice cream that you can make at home. 

The simple recipe is to add 2 handfuls of ice cubes, milk, sugar, honey, or sweet syrup, and blend it well.  It is up to you to add flavor to the milk or even flavorful extracts to the recipe. 

On the other hand, you can add semi-frozen milk to the drink to make it rich, thick, and creamy.

Adding sugar to the rose milk drink:

It is your choice to add sugar to the mug drink as we add Rooh Afza syrup to the milk and ice cream, so it is sweet. 

I have added an adequate amount of Rooh Afza syrup here, so I am not adding any extra sugar or honey to the drink. If you add less Rooh Afza or rose syrup, you can add sugar as per your taste.

Shake At Home

Add basil seeds or chia seeds to the milkshake recipe:

You can add to your mug milkshake basil seeds or chia seeds to the drink as per your choice to make it healthy. 

Soak the basil seeds or chia seeds before in water. Add these soaked seeds to the drink once blended and poured into the mug or glass.

To make the Rooh Afza mug milkshake recipe, you can add vanilla, gulkand, or your favorite flavor ice cream to the mug beverage.

Important points to keep in mind while making a Rooh Afza milkshake with ice cream:

  • Do not add extra sugar to the mug drink because the syrup is already super sweet.
  • You can add vanilla extract to the recipe. 
  • It is not necessary to store the syrup in the fridge or freezer. It can stay fresh outside as well.
  • Adding ice cubes to the milkshake is optional. 
  • To make it for the crowd, use a pitcher. 
  • Serve it in your choice of fancy glasses to please your guests. 
  • Here, I am not adding chia seeds or basil seeds. If you like, you can add them to your mug recipe.
  • You can add more ice cream, handfuls of ice cubes, frozen milk, or even fruits to make it thick. 
  • Use any brand of vanilla ice cream in your recipe.
  • Garnish it with your favorite nuts.
  • If you want to make a vegan milkshake, use vegan whipped cream, ice cream, or almond milk.
