Tandoori Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- Chicken
- 2 tsp Turmeric
- 3-4 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 2-3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 2-3 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chili
- 2 tsp Cumin-Coriander
- Salt to taste
- ¾ cup Hung curd
- 1 tsp Kasturi Methi
- ½ tsp Chat Masala
- 2 tbsp Tandoori Chicken Masala
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 piece Coal
- 1 tsp Ghee
- Butter to brush
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
Method:
First Marination:
- Clean and wash the chicken thoroughly. Place the washed chicken on a plate, and add salt, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, and lemon juice.
- Mix the ingredients well and allow the chicken to marinate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Second Marination:
- In a bowl, combine oil, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, cumin-coriander powder, tandoori chicken masala, garam masala, kasturi methi, chaat masala, cardamom powder, and hung curd.
- Mix the ingredients until a smooth paste is formed. Add the chicken to the marination, ensuring all pieces are well-coated.
- On high flame, heat a piece of coal. Place the hot coal in a small bowl or plate, add ghee on top, and cover with a lid for 3-4 minutes. This will infuse a smoky flavor into the chicken. Remove the lid and the coal, allowing the marination to rest for about 1 hour.
Cooking Process:
- Preheat the microwave oven to 230 degrees Celsius.
- Place the marinated chicken on a wire rack or microwave-safe plate and bake for 30-40 minutes until it’s tender.
- Once cooked, brush the top of the chicken with butter.
- Switch to the grill option on the microwave oven and grill the chicken for 5 minutes on each side to achieve perfect grill marks.
- Once done, serve your tandoori chicken with green chutney or red chutney, along with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
