Add 4 tbsp of Rava, 2 tbsp of curd, salt to taste, ¼ tsp of ginger-garlic paste, 1 finely chopped green chili, and a pinch of baking soda in the mug. Adding turmeric powder is optional. Give it a stir.
Then add water to make the batter creamy in texture. The batter should have a pouring consistency. Mix everything well.
Microwave it for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Keep it aside.
Preparation for making the tempering:
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a small pan. Once, the oil is hot, add ⅛ tsp of asafoetida, ¼ tsp of mustard seeds, and some curry leaves. Adding 1 whole red chili is optional. Let it pop and then pour it on top of the dhokla to enhance the flavor. Your Instant Rava Dhokla is ready to serve.

Notes
Cooking time may vary depending upon the microwave voltage.
If the dhokla is not ready in 1 minute and 30 seconds then keep incrementing it 10-10 seconds.
If you have time, you can keep the batter for resting for about 5-10 minutes or you can make it right away.
Instead of curd, you can also use buttermilk.
Do not make the batter so thick or so thin, it has to have a proper proportion.
You can check if the dhokla is cooked properly or not using a toothpick. If the stick comes out clean, then it is cooked perfectly.
