Green Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh cilantro leaves, washed and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and roughly chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust according to spice preference)
  • 2-3 tablespoons roasted split chickpeas / Chana Dalia
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons water (adjust for desired consistency)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Wash the cilantro and mint leaves thoroughly.
    • Chop the green chilies and ginger.
  2. Blending:
    • In a blender or food processor, add the cilantro leaves, mint leaves, chopped green chilies, chana dalia, ginger, roasted cumin seeds, salt, and lemon juice.
  3. Blending:
    • Blend the mixture until smooth, adding water gradually to achieve the desired consistency.
  4. Taste and Adjust:
    • Taste the chutney and adjust the salt or lemon juice according to your preference. You can also add more green chilies for extra spice.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the green chutney to a serving bowl.

  • Blending: 5 minutes
