Green Chutney Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh cilantro leaves, washed and roughly chopped
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and roughly chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust according to spice preference)
- 2-3 tablespoons roasted split chickpeas / Chana Dalia
- 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons water (adjust for desired consistency)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Wash the cilantro and mint leaves thoroughly.
- Chop the green chilies and ginger.
- Blending:
- In a blender or food processor, add the cilantro leaves, mint leaves, chopped green chilies, chana dalia, ginger, roasted cumin seeds, salt, and lemon juice.
- Blending:
- Blend the mixture until smooth, adding water gradually to achieve the desired consistency.
- Taste and Adjust:
- Taste the chutney and adjust the salt or lemon juice according to your preference. You can also add more green chilies for extra spice.
- Serve:
- Transfer the green chutney to a serving bowl.
