In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons of ghee. Once the ghee is hot, add 1 teaspoon of jeera, 2 cloves, and 1 bay leaf. Allow them to sputter.

Next, add the long-grain basmati rice to the pan. Give it a quick stir. Add water, salt to taste, and mix well.
