Authentic Goan Fish Curry Recipe: A Flavorful Seafood Delight!

Ingredients:
- 3-4 fresh Mackerel fish
- 1 tsp of turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 7-8 dried red chilies
- 2-3 tbsp of coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp of cumin seeds
- 3-4 cloves
- 5-6 black peppercorns
- 5-6 Triphala
- 1 onion
- 1 cup of grated coconut
- 4 green chilies
- 1 ½ inch piece of ginger
- 6-7 garlic cloves
- 6-7 Kokum rinds
- 2 glasses of water
Method:
- Begin by cleaning the Mackerel fish, washing them thoroughly, and marinating them with salt and turmeric. Let them sit for 10 minutes.
- In a blender jar, combine the following ingredients: 7-8 dried red chilies, 2-3 tbsp of coriander seeds, 1 tbsp of cumin seeds, 3-4 cloves, 5-6 black peppercorns, 1 onion, 1 ½ inch pieces of ginger, 6-7 garlic cloves, salt to taste, 1 tsp turmeric, and 1 cup grated coconut. Make a fine paste in a mixer by adding a little water.
- Transfer the mixture to a curry pan and add 2 glasses of water to it. Simmer on low heat, then add 5-6 Triphala. Let it cook for 15 minutes while stirring continuously.
- Add the marinated Mackerel fish to the mixture.
- Next, add 6-7 Kokum rinds. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes on medium heat until the fish is cooked.
- Your Goan-style fish curry is now ready. Serve it hot with steamed rice, and enjoy.
